Home groups complement the Sunday morning meetings, in that they are a place to form closer relationships with a small group of people. Within the group, people are encouraged to be accountable to one another and to encourage each other so as to grow in their faith and knowledge, in an environment of trust and security. There is a social aspect to home groups that is not possible in the Sunday morning meetings, and that is to develop meaningful relationships. Home group social events are also good environments in which to bring along friends and relations who may not have any faith.
There are currently two home groups operating:
Don and Lyn Gaylard in Bourne Road, Alford. Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm.
Ian, Evelyn and Tom at 81A West Street, Alford. Tuesdays 2pm to 3.30pm.
